Method of Use
Take this medicine directly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not interrupt treatment course if you feel better as this may prevent clearing up infection.
Missed Dose
If you have missed Zithromax dosage, take it as soon as you can. If it’s time for next dose of this drug, do not take two doses at the same time.
More Information
Do not drive, operate machinery and perform other potentially unsafe tasks until you don’t know your reaction to this drug as it may make you dizzy, drowsy or lightheaded. These symptoms are more likely to appear when Zithromax is mixed with alcohol or some drugs.
Do not take less or more as prescribed. Do not stop taking Zithromax without consulting your doctor.
Zithromax Storage
The drug is to be stored at a room temperature of 59 – 86 °F (15 – 30 °C). Keep out of reach of children and do not store it in bathroom.
Warnings and Precautions
Patients with kidney and liver problems as well as those who are allergic to any ingredient in Zithromax or to other drugs should contact physician prior to taking this medicine.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Zithromax action on fetus is unknown. Also it's not clearly known whether this drug is excreted in breast milk. Do not use Zithromax until you discuss all risks and benefits with your doctor.
This drug makes you more sensitive to sun. Do not sunbath and wear protective clothes if you plan to stay outside for a long time.
This medicine is not efficient in case of viral infections like cold, it works only against bacteria. When taken on a long-term basis, Zithromax can cause second infection. Visit your doctor if you develop any signs of it.
This drug is not recommended for children and teenagers younger than 16. Use Zithromax on this age group only in case of clear need.
